Last Sunday 24th February, saw Just Beer Micropub presented with the Newark CAMRA Pub of the Year trophy for the second successive year. The top trophy was presented by Ron Allison, who also nominated Just Beer for the prize, after new Newark CAMRA branch Chairman David Moore had made a short speech noting that the award was testament to the quality and consistency of  beer in the pub. On Wednesday February 13th, Just Beer went all Stateside for a couple of hours or so, when they hosted Owen Ogletree and a team of 20 beer writers, bar owners and craft brewers from Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. This Sunday (24th Feb) we have our official presentation of the Newark CAMRA Pub of the Year 2013 award. We are delighted to have taken the award for two years running and to celebrate, we’ve had two special beers brewed by Steve at Bexar County, beer from brand-new Nottinghamshire brewery White Dog and a beer priced at £1.50 per pint.
