It’s been another memorable year here at JB; Two more highly successful beer festivals, another Good Beer Guide entry and winning Newark CAMRA Pub of the Year award for the third consecutive year being the highlights. But, as always, we are constantly striving to make improvements. To that end, we will be closed fora couple of days next week for a bit of redecoration, plus expect some other additions when the doors re-open!
Besides being closed tomorrow (New Year’s day), we will be closing at around 6 o’clock on Sunday afternoon (4th), through to Wednesday evening approx 4 o’clock-ish, providing everything is on schedule. We have hopefully timed this to coincide with a quiet period so as to minimise inconvenience to any of our loyal customers.
Looking forward to 2015, we are proud to be once again participating in the upcoming bigger-than-ever BeerMuda Triangle Beer Festival, which takes place 22nd – 25th January, together with The Castle Barge, Flying Circus, Fox & Crown, Organ Grinder and Prince Rupert.
We already have some winners lined up for you, including brand-new breweries Erddig, Two by Two, Uprising, Fixed Wheel, Lincolnshire and Idle Valley. We also have a Tyne Bank/Brewdog collaboration in the cellar ready and waiting, along with the Kinver Full Centurian at a lip-smacking 10%. Stay posted for the full menu over the next couple of weeks. See the other pub’s web sites (links above) for their offerings and follow the BeerMuda Triangle Beer Festival Facebook page for more details.
Looking further forward, we have our main festival to coincide with the Newark Beer Festival, May 22nd – 24th. Expect more goodies then.
We would like to thank all of our customers, old and new, for their continued custom over the last year and wish you all a very happy new year and all the best for 2015.
The Four Tapsters.
