Just Beer has again received the accolade of Newark CAMRA Pub of the Year 2017 making it Newark’s top pub for the fifth time in six years. The trophy was presented yesterday (Sunday 5th March) by Newark CAMRA Chairman Andrew Birkhead and Rob Neil, POTY co-ordinater. This Sunday (24th Feb) we have our official presentation of the Newark CAMRA Pub of the Year 2013 award. We are delighted to have taken the award for two years running and to celebrate, we’ve had two special beers brewed by Steve at Bexar County, beer from brand-new Nottinghamshire brewery White Dog and a beer priced at £1.50 per pint. Just Beer has won the latest round of the CAMRA National Pub of the Year competition to become CAMRA East Midlands Pub of the Year! The East Midlands region is one of 16, therefore taking us into the last 16 of the competition. The next stage is the Super-Regional, which produces the four finalists for the National final. The East Midlands regional round, which comprised of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire, produced some great winners from their respective counties …
CAMRA’s Nottinghamshire Pub of the Year 2012 award is being presented to Just Beer Micropub this coming Saturday, 7th July. Festivities begin from 1.30pm and have we got some treats for you! During the day we will be serving beers from two brand-new breweries – BlackJack Shuffled Deck 3.8% from Manchester (opened May this year) and Hartshorns Highgate 4.3% from Derby, which opened at the end of April. We have just been notified that we are the CAMRA Nottinghamshire Pub of the Year! The news came yesterday after the final results came in from several weeks judging of some of the finest pubs in the County. The Nottinghamshire Pub of the Year (POTY) is an intermediate round between the Branch and Regional POTY competitions so we are all crossing our fingers for progression into the Regionals. The award presentation will be at Just Beer on Saturday July 7th. …

It has just been announced on Newark CAMRA’s website that Just Beer has won the branches’ coveted Pub of the Year award for 2012.
